This summer I am once again participating in the summer comment challenge hosted by Alicia at A Kernel of Nonsense and Lonna at FLYLēf. I really enjoyed this challenge the past times that I participated in it as it introduced me to other bloggers, and put an emphasis on commenting on blog posts rather than just liking a post. I intend to participate in all three months and comment on five or more posts a month.
Today’s discussion is going to be about likes vs. comments on blog posts. You may be thinking that this is a random post, but it really isn’t. This post is also my announcement post for the February Comment Challenge hosted by Alicia at Kernels of Nonsense and Lonna at FLYLēF. This challenge is all about encouraging people to comment on each other’s posts rather than just liking the post. Lonna and Alicia hosted this in the summer and I participated in all three months, and I plan to do the same for the winter!
I don’t really have a problem with people just liking my posts, but how do I know if someone actually read my post. I know sometimes time can be an issue, but I always make an effort to comment on a post if I know that I can write something meaningful, it lets the reader know that I took the time to read their post. I always love getting comments, because it lets me know that someone actually took the time to read what I wrote.

I was very happy to see that Alicia and Lonna have decided to bring the comment challenge back for the winter months, and I will once again be participating in all three months of the challenge. I intend to comment on five posts per month, possibly more.
August is the final month of the comment challenge and I am once participating on last time, well I hope it isn’t the last and that there will be more comment challenges.
