Calendar Girls is a monthly blog event created by Melanie at MNBernard Books, and Flavia at Flavia the Bibliophile, and will now be hosted by Katie at Never Not Reading, and Adrienne at Darque Dreamer Reads. It is designed to ignite bookish discussions among readers and was inspired by the 1961 Neil Sedaka song, Calendar Girl. (Information from Katie at Never Not Reading)
Each month there is a new theme and the theme for November is Eleven (Strangest Book I’ve Ever Read).
When I saw this theme, I knew exactly what book I was going to use, and that book is Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke.
This book was just strange in every single way, and I actually did enjoy it.

I’ve never heard of this book! Is it YA?
It is YA!!
It had that look about it, lol.
The cover looks very strange, so I imagine the story is too! Awesome choice! I will have to look it up!
It was really strange in a good way. I almost picked Illuminae but wanted to pick something I enjoyed.
I read this one also – great choice! Talk about unreliable narrators. I really enjoyed the book, but it was an odd one.
