#AudiobooksPt2

discussion-2

Last year (2018) I wrote a post about audiobooks, and today I am going to follow up on that post, which you can read here

My relationship with audiobooks as stated in the post from last year is still a very complicated one.  I don’t listen to them often and if I do listen to them, I tend to read ones that are on the shorter side.  I’ve only listened to three complete audiobooks, which paints a picture of how complicated my relationship with audiobooks really is.  The three complete audiobooks that I’ve listened to are Mr. Popper’s Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater, Auggie and Me by R.J. Palacio, and Wishtree Katherine Applegate.  I really enjoyed these three audiobooks.  The most recent audiobook that I listened to was The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, and it was not a great experience at all, you can read my review for it tomorrow.  I think my issue with audiobooks is that I’m a more visual learner than I am an audio learner.  I like physically seeing and reading the words a lot better than listening to them, I also retain and remember the information when I actually read it rather than listen to it.  Going forward, I’m not sure if I’m going to give audiobooks more chances.
