Great choice! It sounds like it’s going to be phenomenal. It plays even more to Angie Thomas’s strengths then The Hate U Give did, so I think it’s going to blow us all away. Tee hee.

I still haven’t read anything by Angie Thomas. Honestly all of the hype has me wanting to wait so I can appreciate the story without the pressure of everyone’s praise.
I read The Hate U Give in 2017 and it took me almost a month to get it from the library, and it is definitely deserving of all the praise that it has gotten and continues to get. I think you’d be safe if you wanted to read it now.
Maybe. But I’m deep in fantasy mode right now.
I’m kind of drifting away from fantasy a bit with the exception of Middle Grade.
I have always been a massive fan of fantasy, no matter the age category.

The Hate U Give was amazing, and Angie Thomas will be at a local book fest in April – plan on getting a signed copy of her new book!
I loved The Hate U Give too once I got my hands on it from the library after waiting close to a month. I preordered the Nook book of On The Come Up this morning.

I loved The Hate U Give too, I preorderd the Nook book of On The Come Up this morning. I borrowed The Hate U Give from the library and it took me almost a month to get it, this past summer it was on every single summer reading list too. I think books like The Hate U Give are so important and need to be read.
