If you are new to my blog, Friday Update is a feature that is unique to my blog in which I provide an update on what I read during the week, sometimes what I’m currently reading and sometimes what book/books I plan on starting over the weekend.
What I read this week, week of 3/23/18-3/30/18:
Hiddensee by Gregory Maguire– 257 pages which brought me to the end of the book
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
Thirteenth Rising by Romina Russell
Wet Cement by Bob Raczka
Dear Martin by Nic Stone
Red Sox Rhymes by Dick Flavin
I am currently not reading anything
Weekend reading plans:
These are books that I have to read for school
Plant the Tiny Seed by Christie Matheson
The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak
Pages read: 1,56
Sounds like a good week. I have been working on catching up on blog hopping, again, and working on my author requests.
Thank you. I’m actually happy that I don’t accept review requests, I know I might be missing out on some great books but with school, I don’t need the added stress of reading on a deadline, and I can focus more on reading what I want to read.
It is a lot of stress, so I don’t blame you. I am thinking of slowing it down for a while so I can focus more on my TBR. I definitely understand not wanting to take them. Plus, school is super important. I didn’t read at all when I was in school.
I’ve found a balance, one of my classes I’ve gotten to read picture books.
That’s awesome. I kind of miss my senior year of high school when we got to read Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. I think I only had the opportunity to read something interesting for class in college the year I took a creative writing class with author Ron Rash. Our textbook was full of short stories of various genres. That was fun. Other than that, my reading consisted of microbiology and blood work and chemistry. My brain was so full I didn’t want to try cram anything else in it, lol.
