If you are new to my blog, Friday Update is a feature in which I provide an update on what I read during the week, sometimes what I’m currently reading and what book/books I plan on starting over the weekend.
What I read this week, week of 1/5-1/12:
Fierce: How Competing for Myself Changed Everything by Aly Raisman- 79 pages which brought me to the end of the book
Lullaby Road by James Anderson
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Whichwood by Tahereh Mafi– 157 pages
Currently reading: Whichwood by Tahereh Mafi– I’ll have this finished later
Weekend plans:
The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Reading by Alexandra Bracken
Pages read this week: 1,071
I am looking forward to The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Reading.
I’m loving it so far, I definitely need it after reading All The Light We Cannot See and Whichwood.
I’m glad to hear it! I’m in the middle of Curtsies & Conspiracies and will be jumping in to Beastly Bones soon. I plan on reading that one within the next month 🙂
I’ve never heard of those books before.
They are fun paranormal ya books. Beastly Bones is book 2 in the Jackaby series, and the other is book 2 in Etiquette and Espionage.
I’ve read very little ya paranormal. I read The Cure For Dreaming and loved it.
It’s on my list because I enjoyed Odd & True.
If I enjoyed The Cure for Dreaming I’m sure I’ll enjoy Odd & True if I get around to reading it.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Odd & True. It got some mixed reviews, and was definitely unexpectedly different from the synopsis, but I really enjoyed it, and I have heard her writing style was very similar to The Cure for Dreaming, so it will be cool to hear your views coming from that one first.
If I get around to reading it.
So many books, so little time!
My Goodreads want to read shelf only has 131 books on it, so it’s not that much.
Mine is at 418, but I need to go through it. Yikes!
I love going through my Goodreads.
Haha. Its daunting for me because I have years of reading to catch up on and I have serious book FOMO!
Another great week. How did you like All The Light We Cannot See??
I really loved it, it flowed really well, it was beautifully written, I loved the characters and the way it ended.
That’s good!! I’m glad you ended up loving it.
Well, I didn’t really have any expectations going into it.
