Today’s post is going to be about my reading, Bookstagrm, and blogging goals and the challenges that I will be participating in this year.
First off is my reading goals:
Last year I set my goal at 75 books, and I surpassed it by reading 113. This year I set my goal at 115. I never increase my goal if I’m going to surpass it because I like to see how many books I actually read over my goal and then use the final count to help create my goal for the new year.
Continue to read more diversely
Hopefully, finish The Iliad and the Odyssey
Read more classics
Complete two series that I’ve started but have yet to finish
Work on reading more backlist books
Challenges that I will be participating in as of right now:
The 2018 Modern Mrs. Darcy Reading Challenge
Library Love Challenge– Overdrive Junkie: 36 books
Beat the Backlist
Page Trackers
Blogging goals:
Find a consistent schedule again
Try to find and post more original content
Post one Top 5 Wednesday each month
Continue to comment on the posts of others
Bookstagram goals:
Try to post more consistently
Post more of my currently reading
Post more library hauls

I need to sit down and figure out my goals and what challenges I want to participate in. I’ve been playing catch up so I am still posting the different wrap ups for 2017 that I wanted to do.
If you’re looking for a low-key challenge Beat the Backlist is a good one, you just have to read books that you’ve been meaning to read for a while that was published in 2017 or earlier.
Yeah I tried that one last year and ended up not doing it after a couple of months so I don’t think that ones for me. Thanks though!!
I did the same thing. There were a lot of problems with it last year. A lot of changes have been made, so I think this year will be better.
Hopefully things will be better with all the changes made. Good luck with your goals and challenges.
Thank you!
Good luck on your goals!
Whenever I reach my Goodreads-goal I don’t up my goal either. Okay, I did once but I found my reading groove back last year and I’d already reached my goal by June so I really needed to up it a bit, haha.
Happy reading!
Thank you, and I’ve upped it a few times too but have decided against it because I think it’s fun to see how far I surpass it.
Happy New Year, Ashley!
Thank you!
