Top 5 Wednesday was originally created by Lainey from Gingerreadslainey and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. There is a Goodreads group which lists the topics.
The topic for this week is future classics. Books that one day I think will be considered classics.
It has been a long time since I crafted a Top 5 Wednesday post, the last time I crafted one was back in January. I’m still not going to do these every week, but if I really like the topic I will craft a post.
A List of Cages by Robin Roe
The Gauntlet by Karuna Riazi
The Wrath and the Dawn by Reneé Ahdieh
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas– I haven’t read this book yet, but I already know that it will be a classic someday.
I definitely agree with you with The Hate U Give. I’m really hoping we see it taught in schools. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one I believe will be a classic ss well and maybe even The Hunger Games. I’ve never participated in this meme, but I like that you do it if the prompt speaks to you. I might start doing this myself.
Thank you. I’ve never read the Hunger Games and have no intentions to read the series. I’m over dystopian.
Ooh, I love that you mentioned A Darker Shade of Magic! I haven’t read The Hate U Give yet either, but I totally agree!
I have the Hate U Give on hold at the library, it hasn’t come in yet!
Heck yes to A Darker Shade of Magic and A List of Cages.
Thank you! I tried to pick books that some people might not have thought of.
