I figured I would do something different and do a random update on how I’m doing with my goals for the year. I’m not sure if I’m going to do this every month, and if I do decide to do it every month, I’m not sure what day I will post it on.
Goodreads: 15/75 and 11 books ahead of schedule
Beat the Backlist: six books, this is a year long challenge
Short stories/novellas: three
Poetry/Plays: zero books- however, I did just load up my Nook with some poetry and plays.
Diverse books: eight/nine- I’m not sure if one of the books I read can be considered diverse as it isn’t Own Voices
Audiobooks: one, and I’m not sure if I will listen to anymore. I don’t really want to talk about the reason why quite yet.

Eleven books ahead of schedule? That’s fantastic! I really should read more poetry. I have plenty on my shelf but never really find the time. Is there a particular poet you are hoping to read?
Nothing modern, more ancient Greek and classic poetry.
