Top 5 Wednesday was originally created by Lainey from Gingerreadslainey and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. There is a Goodreads group which lists the topics.
This week’s topic is books that I want to re-read.
Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
Heidi by Johanna Spyri
Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder
I read these books when I was younger and absolutely loved them. It has been so long since I have read them and I can’t wait to read them again.
We read Tuck Everlasting in 6th grade, I think. I really loved it – that’s a great pick!
Thank you! I read it in elementary school.
I want to reread Tuck Everlasting too! I actually recently rewatched the movie and have been wanting to reread the book ever since. It’s such a great book.
I’ve never seen the movie.
I read the secret garden and Heidi, I still have Heidi in my shelf at home
I loved them when I was younger. I have Heidi but I no longer have a copy of The Secret Garden, I did have the Great Illustrated Classics edition of it, but those editions are extremely abridged.
Oohhh. I remember reading Tuck Everlasting! I read it back in high school.
I read it in elementary school. I’m re-reading it in January for the Biannual Bibliothon!
I have only read The Secret Garden, such a good book 😀
I read the Great Illustrated Classics Edition so long ago, I don’t even had a copy of it right now. I did put it on my Christmas wish list though, I want the Penguin Classics edition, the one with the really pretty yellow cover.
Oh they are beautiful 😀 I read it last year after finding the ebook version free on amazon 🙂
It’s free on Amazon?
yes the ebook version 🙂
Ahhh, I’m not opposed to getting the ebook but I want the hardcover because it will look good on my bookcase next to my Puffin in Bloom editions.
Yeah they are so beautiful 😀
I love all these books! I also need to re-read them…
I did create a challenge for 2017 specifically for the purpose of re-reading books!
