The Friday 56 was created by Freda from Freda’s Voice.
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*It’s that simple.
I am still reading Pride and Prejudice, I’ve gotten into a bit of a slump and I’m hoping to have it finished by this weekend.
““Oh, shocking,” cried Miss Bingley.”- Page 56 of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I can relate to being on the same book as last week. 🙂 #WorkLife
Happy weekend!
Thank you, you as well. I’m just in a little bit of a slump, I need to refocus!
Ahahaha I ❤ this!
I read a great article a while ago about how Caroline Bingley is the forerunner of all the mean girls who try to destroy the romantic hopes of our heroine, the more I think about it the more I see her in those characters! 🙂
I fall back on this book whenever I’m stumped on what to read. Watch the movie again too.
My Friday 56 from Better Off Thread
It really could, but I didn’t want to spoil anything😆
LMAO at your choice of quote for this week from Pride and Prejudice. I mean really, taken out of context like it is….you could use it pretty much anywhere, in reaction to anything, and it would work!
Here is my Friday 56, if you’re interested in checking it out! No pressure or worries at all if you’re not, though. Happy book-ing to you in the near future, and happy Friday! ❤
I love P&P. My book club is reading P&P&Zombies over Christmas.
It has been many years since I read this book…I am hoping to reread a few classics…someday. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
