This week is BorrowAThon, I first heard about it watching a BookTube video, I don’t remember which one, though. What BorrowAthon is, it’s a week long readathon where you read borrowed books, whether it is from the library or friends and family. When I heard about it, I thought it was an excellent idea! I’ve been borrowing both physical and eBooks a lot from the library lately. I’m excited to be participating.
The book that I am currently reading, Paper and Fire by Rachel Caine is an eBook that I’m borrowing from the library. I have two more eBooks that are currently on hold, so if those become available during the week I will read those. The two books on hold are Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs, and The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. It is possible that these books will not become available during the week, so I’m not creating a definitive TBR.

Cool idea! My local library shut down last year though due to lack of funding :(.
That’s so sad!
I know 😦 I moved to my current house because it was right across from the library. Two years later, they shut it down!
Sounds interesting! Unfortunately my library doesn’t have much to choose from…
Not even eBooks?
Honestly, I don’t think my library has ebooks. They have audio books, though. I will have to check their website and double check! They’re in the process of building a brand spankin’ new library, much nicer and bigger, so hopefully when it opens, they’ll have a much better selection of books!
My library isn’t the biggest, but I love it. I can get books from other libraries delivered to my library because of something called a consortium. I also have an eCard to the Boston Public Library!
Sounds nice! I don’t think our library can get books from other libraries. I’m really not sure. I should double check all this stuff… to make sure I’m not missing out on this greatness!
You definitely should double check!
I would have participated in this read a thon but I decided to choose this month as the month I only read books that I own so that I could cut don on my TBR pile.
