The Friday 56 was created by Freda from Freda’s Voice.
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*It’s that simple.
Today’s Friday 56 is from one of my recent reads.
“There was nowhere for the prince to run. His horse had been chased away while he slept. The yew tree was his only shelter.”- Page 56 of A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
This is high on my list of books to read at the moment!
I would put it at the top of your list of books to read!
This book is divine. I’m absolutely in love with the illustrations. I actually don’t own the book, but seeing you feature it reminds me that I need to get myself a copy soon. Hope you have a fantastic upcoming week. Also, I love the new look of your blog, tell me you’re a Hufflepuff.
Thank you! I don’t own it either, I’ve been borrowing from the library a lot. I’m a Gryffindor! I just love yellow!
Hopefully we both get a copy of our own soon. Gryffindor works too, gold is one of the house’s colors.
I don’t know when I’m gonna get my own copy. I have no room in my bookcase for anymore books really.
I hear you, I’m thinking of doing an unhaul at the end of the year.
I just did an unhaul.
This is one of my favorite books by Patrick Ness. The 7th graders in my school read it, and it rips them apart (in the best way) each time. Love it!
It’s definitely one of my favorite books so far this year.
A Monster Calls broke my heart. It was such an amazing book.
I want to read it again.
Aw…The Monster Calls. I think it is such a touching book. Grab a tissue.
I finished it on Wednesday, and I want to read it again.
Interesting 56! I do have this book on my wishlist. 🙂 Happy weekend!
Thank you! It’s one of my favorite books that I have read so far this year!
A Monster Calls is on my TBR. Here is my Friday 56: https://coffeeandcatsblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/28/friday-56-13/
You should really read it, it’s such a fast paced quick read. It’s somewhat heartbreaking.
