#BannedBooks

In honor of banned books week, I decided that I would compile a list of banned books that I have read.  I’m sure that there are more banned books that I have read, however finding a list of every book that has been banned or challenged isn’t the easiest thing to do.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Animal Farm by George Orwell

Candide by Voltaire

The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer

Beloved by Toni Morrison

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

Are You There, God? It’s Me Margaret by Judy Blume

Gossip Girl Series by Cecily von Ziegesar

The Giver by Lois Lowry

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
