#TopTenTuesday 10

top-10-tuesday

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week’s topic is top 10 that made you want to do or learn things.

Harry Potter made me want to:

1.) Be as quirky and unique as Luna and not give a shit what people think

2.) Learn the art of Divination (even though some people think it’s a load of crock)

3.) Have Doby as a sidekick (he’d make a badass sidekick), and I’ve always loved Doby.

4.) The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi made me want to learn more about Middle Eastern culture

5.) Concussion by Jeanne Marie Laskas made me want to learn more about the NFL’s mishandling of concussions

6.) Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse made me want to learn more about the Dust Bowl

7.) Zodiac made me want to learn more about the actual zodiac (not horoscopes)

8.) The Unexpected Everything made me want a group of friends like Andie

9.) Ithaca by Patrick Dillon made me want to learn more about ancient Greece

10.) Magruder’s Curiosity Cabinet made me want to learn more about New York in the 1900’s

  1. Yes!! Luna definitely taught me to be me. There are things that sometimes I get that looks of “Are you serious?” but I am going to ashamed for loving certain things, believing something, or simply being me.

I also like on your list learning divination!

  2. I would love to learn Divination! I have delved into Tarot, but I’m just a super basic beginner, haha. I’d love to learn all the different methods too. And, yes Luna!! I feel like I’m already as strange as her, but I’d love to have her confidence.

  3. Great list. Luna FTW! She’s the best, I’m glad she inspired you 🙂
Also, I didn’t know there was a distinction between the Zodiac and horoscopes! Good to know.

  4. The HP subjects were always so interesting! Personally I would have loved to have been in Hermione’s Arithmancy class, because magic and numbers are ❤
