December of Potter

This month I decided to only read one series, and that series is Harry Potter. There is just something about the Harry Potter books that make them the perfect books to read in December and winter in general. The books will also be the last seven books I will have read in 2015. I have already surpassed my 2015 Goodreads goal of 15 books, and by the time I finish reading Harry Potter, my 2015 total for books read should be over 30. Some of the books I can read in one day, others in two and the bigger books maybe three or four. Another reason I want to dedicate December to Potter, is because I don’t think I have ever read the entire series start to finish. Prior to the release of the seventh book, I started the series hoping to be done with the sixth one by the time I got the seventh one. I pre-ordered the seventh book on Amazon, and it was in my mailbox at 9 something in the morning on release day. I was in the middle of reading the sixth one, had my brother open the seventh one, and I pulled an all day and nighter reading it, only taking breaks to eat, I didn’t even bother to finish the sixth one before I started the seventh one. I have read all the books at least once though, and my copy of the first one, isn’t in the best shape. Every time a new book, up to the seventh one was released, I would pretty much marathon read them. So, this December for the first time ever, I am going to marathon read the entire series. It is something that I am looking forward to doing.
