With the Grammy Awards coming up in a few weeks, I thought it would be fun to do a blog about what Grammy performances will be worth watching. One of my favorite parts of watching the Grammy Awards is watching the performances. When the Grammy’s are over, I will do a full review of the show.
Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder- This one will be exciting to watch for the simple fact that it’s Daft Punk. Does anyone remember in 2008 when Daft Punk performed with Kanye West?
Imagine Dragons– I love their songs “Radioactive,” and “Demons.” I’m excited for their performance and to see what they will perform, I think that their performance will be interesting and worth watching.
Katy Perry– I’m always interested to see what Katy Perry is going to do when it comes to her performances, she always seems to do something exciting. I still don’t know what she will be performing but I always look forward to her performances.
Kendrick Lamar- This is one that I’m indifferent towards.
Lorde- I honestly don’t think her performance will be worth watching at all, I find her and her music extremely boring. I’m not excited for her performance at all. I’ve seen some of her performances from late night tv shows on youtube, and they were just boring.
Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton
Metallica and Lang Lang – Eh I’m not into heavy metal at all, so I’m indifferent towards this performance.
Pink featuring Nate Ruess- To be honest, if they are performing “Just Give Me A Reason” the song is getting old and tired, but Pink always brings it when it comes to her performances. I’m really tired of this song, so I’m not really excited for this performance at all.
Robin Thicke and Chicago-I’m excited to watch this performance, and seeing as how the Grammys are a classy awards show, unlike the VMA’s, I’m pretty sure there won’t be a repeat of his VMA performance with Miley Cyurs.
Taylor Swift- Depending on what she is planning on performing, I may or may not be excited to watch her performance. Don’t get me wrong, I like Taylor Swift but a lot of her singles are already getting annoying and overplayed. She has been performing the songs since 2012.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr- I think this one is one that people are a bit surprised about. The Grammy’s are known as musics biggest stage, and they are the two surviving members of the Beatles. It will be exciting to see them perform together.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis- I’m expecting this performance to be fun and exciting, seeing as how these two’s performances that I’ve seen were different and really fun to watch.
Kacey Musgraves– I’ve watched a few of Kacey’s performances from other award shows that she’s performed at, and she’s an excellent performer. I’m excited to see her performance, and I’m excited to see what she will be performing.
John Legend- I’ve always like John Legend, so that fact that he’s performing at the Grammy’s makes me really happy. When he takes the stage, it will most likely be without a lot of the bells and whistles that other performers rely on.
Keith Urban, and Sara Bareilles with Carole King- This is an interesting combination to say the least. Three artists from three different genres. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a tribute performance of some sort, therefore I’m excited to see what this performance brings.
It is possible that more performers could be added to the lineup.
