Something that has been drilled in my head since returning back to school, has been accuracy. Two of my classes this semester have to do with writing and news writing. In my news writing and editing classes, I have learned, when writing any type of story, whether it be news or feature that accuracy is the most important thing. Today the news has been reporting that the Red Sox owners are preparing to sell the team. This morning on live radio, one of the owners shot down the report and said that there was absolutely no truth to that report at all. I believe what I heard this morning on live radio, the source that said the report was bogus is a reliable source, and he said it himself. That is my two cents. When you see or hear the words “report,” or “source” remember it may not always be accurate, that is all.
